09, Mar 2019
The Kwikset® brand of Spectrum Brands Inc. – Hardware & Home Improvement Division, an industry leading manufacturer of residential door hardware, has received the Fourth Annual Builder Partnerships Partner of the Year award. This award is presented each year to a manufacturer for demonstrating excellence in supporting Builder Partnerships builder members and their overall base of builder customers. The award was presented during Builder Partnerships’ 14th Annual Networking Reception during the International Builders' Show.
Charles C. Shinn Jr., Ph.D., founder and principal of Builder Partnerships, said the organization was exceptionally pleased to honor Kwikset. The manufacturer joins Goodman Manufacturing, GAF, and DuPont, which were the previous winners of the prestigious honor.
“Our goal for the Partner of the Year award is to bring focus on the many ways in which manufacturers can support builders and help them build the best home possible for their buyers,” Shinn said. “Kwikset has been a member of Builder Partnerships since we started the company in 2006. Over the past 13 years, Kwikset has supported our builder members with high-quality, innovative products that incorporate style and technology as well as any manufacturer in any product category.”
“It’s an honor to receive the 2018 Partner of the Year award from Builder Partnerships,” said David Seeman, Director of National Builder Accounts, Kwikset and Baldwin, Spectrum Brands Inc. – Hardware & Home Improvement Division. “Our security brands, Kwikset and Baldwin, work tirelessly to exceed expectations of builder partners and our relationship with Builder Partnerships is invaluable to our organization.”
In presenting the award, Builder Partnerships Vice President of Business Development Stephen Crouch said Kwikset has stepped up to the challenge of integrating the convenience of wireless technology into both contemporary and traditional styles of door hardware.
“Over the past several years, our builder members have expressed an interest and a need to offer remotely accessible door hardware into their homes, without compromising on security or style,” Crouch noted. “Kwikset has responded with dozens of finish and model combinations, making 2018 a year of transformation for many of our builder members.”
