Purchasing 201: Practical Solutions for Cost Control

Construction cost is the largest cost classification for home builders, and it's typically too high to allow for superior profit. Controlling and reducing costs is critical for achieving your target profit and outperforming your competition. Focusing on cost efficiencies in your purchasing department is an effective strategy for maximizing value and improving profitability.

Loaded with practical solutions for cost control and design efficiency, the Purchasing 201 seminar offers expert guidance to help anyone involved in the purchasing process implement effective strategies for maintaining value at the lowest possible cost.

This is the second in a series of three seminars offering practical solutions for streamlining your purchasing and estimating processes to achieve superior profitability. Although there are no requirements for taking the classes in any particular order, there is continuity in the series, and we encourage people to attend all three of the sessions to gain a comprehensive set of tools for improving the performance of the purchasing function.

What Builders are Saying

“This course is highly instrumental, especially from my POV, because while I'm not new to the building industry, I am new to Purchasing. So there was a lot of very relevant material for me! You all are a wealth of knowledge and I am incredibly grateful for the information you’ve shared with us over the last 4 weeks, thank you so much.” –Jacqui Pearson, Garrette Custom Homes

“I have learned a lot and I hope to begin using what I have learned to better our systems and processes.” –Jerad Skoglund, Price Custom Homes
