During the past month, we at Builder Partnerships have been asking our manufacturing partners to share their 2021 successes.  We recognized there have been many challenges over the last year due to the economic shutdown. Therefore, we want to share successes our valued partners achieved overcoming those challenges.

“In spite of severe supply chain challenges, we have been able to proactively navigate these issues very successfully within our category. Rubbermaid has shown very significant growth beginning Q3 last year and are working very closely with our forecasting and distribution teams. We are experiencing no issues as our teams are supporting us in meeting this volume challenge and opportunity.”

“We have made some significant investments with production for The AZEK company. We have recently purchased a new production facility in Boise Idaho that should be up and running at some point in 2022. Earlier last year, we committed over $100mm to increase output in production at our Wilmington facility and to open a new facility in the west. By the time we are up and running and together with the improvements to our current facility in Ohio, we will be operating well into the double digits above where we currently operate.  Moving into 2022 and 2023, our lead times will shrink and product availability throughout the country will be vastly improved. Looking at the current market conditions with regard to manufacturing and production, the average builder is seeing longer than expected lead times, as well as shortages on products within the building materials industry and as a top manufacturer of decking material, we have seen astronomical growth well beyond expectations. Our goal is to be as efficient as possible and to service our customers with a consistent product and an on-time delivery. I believe we will accomplish this through our investments.”

~ Waed Vig | National Accounts/Key Account Manager | The AZEK Company

“We have seen a lot more builders, especially in TX in response to the recent storms, go with pre-wire transfer switch options on all homes, if not, a whole home generator as a standard option that comes on all homes. This is a huge step for Generac because our products have not been a standard option in most semi-production or production builders.  Also, we received PG&E approval on our Meter Combo switch that is the first of its kind and is going to change the game on making new homes generator ready. This is a massive step in the right direction for us and we anticipate receiving a broader utility approval across the U.S. in the next 4-6 months.

We are sure there are other success stories. If you have one, we would love to hear about it and share with our membership. If, on the other hand, you are experiencing challenges, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are available and would be glad to help facilitate possible solutions.
