The Discovery Point community will contain 421 homes on more than 130 acres, priced starting in the low $200,000s.

Fischer Homes, Louisville’s largest home builder, has announced plans for a new master-planned community, Discovery Point, that will ultimately add 421 homes across more than 130 acres in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The project is expected to cost more than $140 million.

According to the builder, the community will contain a mix of single-family homes from its Designer and Maple Street collections, as well as low-maintenance options from the Paired Patio Homes Collection. Price points will start in the low $200,000s and range up to over $400,000. Amenities will include a swimming pool, a cabana, a playground, and more than 30 acres of green space. Site development has begun, and buildout is expected in six to 10 years.

“Discovery Point builds upon our success at our recently sold-out communities in Shelbyville, which include Catalpa Green and Summersfield Place,” says Richard Miles, land acquisition manager for Fischer Homes. “Our first master-planned community in the Louisville area will offer something for everyone, including a variety of single-family home designs and affordable paired patio options.”
