The Eastridge development will feature homes priced from the low $200,000s, split 50/50 between the two builders.
Green Brick Partners, in partnership with Meritage Homes, has closed on the purchase of approximately 2,400 homesites for the development of Eastridge, a new residential community in Princeton, Texas, north of Dallas-Fort Worth. The community has an approximate build-out value of $640 million, and will be developed as a 50/50 partnership between Meritage Homes and Green Brick Partners’ Trophy Signature Homes subsidiary.
Trophy Signature Homes will offer its Trophy and Texas Tree home plan series, ranging from three to five beds and two to four baths and averaging 2,000 square feet in size. Engineered wood floors, cooktops with built-in ranges, and café hoods are all included as standard features. Homes will be priced starting from the mid-$200,000s to the $300,000s.
“Demand for homes in north DFW has continued to grow exponentially, and Princeton is no exception,” says Jed Dolson, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Green Brick Partners. “We have seen remarkable interest from buyers in our neighboring Brookside community, and knew that growing our presence in Princeton was the next step in meeting the market’s growing need for quality homes.”
Meritage Homes plans to build approximately 1,200 of its LIVE.NOW homes, with a wide variety of floor plans, including quick move-in options. “We view this as a tremendous opportunity to expand our footprint of energy-efficient, thoughtfully designed, affordable homes in Princeton,” says Austin Woffinden, Dallas division president at Meritage Homes. “An exciting opportunity for future homeowners, Meritage homes at Eastridge are projected to start in the low $200,000s, with access to exclusive on-site amenities and sought-after McKinney schools.”
The 547-acre community will feature homes on a mix of 40-, 50-, and 60-foot lots, and will include an amenity center and nearly 90 acres of parks and open space on completion. Presales are expected to open in early 2022.
