Homes for HOPE Newest Building Partner, Clearview Homes

Homes for HOPE is excited to announce that Clearview Homes in Harrisburg, PA recently announced their intentions to build their very first Home for HOPE. They will break ground on their project in early December of this year.

Having been in business since 2005, Clearview Homes is a family-owned company that has built a reputation for building quality, fully-custom homes for their clients. As a family, they take their work personally, and are committed to working with integrity, laboring in the details, and building lifelong relationships.

Clearview’s owners, Patrick and Sarah Owen, have been passionate about poverty alleviation for many years. Having gone on mission trips with their church in the past, they saw first-hand how traditional, alleviation charity can hurt more than it helps – fostering dependency.

Through their relationship with FoxBuilt Homes (a long time H4H supporter and board member), Patrick and Sarah learned about Homes for HOPE and HOPE International. They were inspired by the effectiveness of Christ-centered microenterprise development, and how it enables families in poverty to put their God-given skills and talents to work, empowering them to provide for themselves.

What started as an exciting conversation eventually lead to Clearview committing to build their own Home for HOPE, with FoxBuilt graciously donating the lot for the home.

To kick off the project, Clearview invited their subcontractors and trades to a breakfast meeting last week, where they announced their intentions to donate profits from the home to HOPE International, and invited their industry partners to join them. FoxBuilt again provided their support by hosting the meeting in their most recently completed home for HOPE, which is currently for sale.

Homes for HOPE’s Director of Development, Matthew Baehr was present at the meeting, and expressed his excitement for Clearview Homes joining the H4H Family:

“Clear View Homes’ unique understanding of and experience with international missions, coupled with their dedication to quality custom home builds makes them an extremely strategic partner for Homes for HOPE! We are so excited to serve alongside them!”
