The Propane Education & Research Council’s Propane Training Academy has a new online course available that provides builders and developers with an overview of community propane systems.

The course details how community propane systems work, where they work, and why builders and developers should consider community propane systems into their residential building projects. It also gives an overview of how community propane systems fit into larger commercial facilities like community centers, golf courses, retail centers, restaurants, and lodging facilities.

The free online courseCommunity Propane Systems, An Energy and Technology Solution for Developers, Builders, and Homeowners, will count for one hour of continuing education credits from the American Institute of Architects, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and the National Association of Home Builders.

“Propane’s versatility makes it a huge asset to both construction professionals and homeowners — especially in cases where natural gas isn’t available,” said Bryan Cordill, director of residential and commercial business development at PERC. “Community propane systems are an innovative energy solution for builders, developers, and homeowners, and this course will help construction professionals understand how they can benefit from — and capitalize on — this opportunity.”

To access the library of online courses, participants must first register for free to become a member of the Propane Training Academy.
