The last few days have shed a new light on this unprecedented challenge we face with the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Like you, we are deeply concerned about its effect on our communities, families and industry. At Westlake Chemical, the health and safety of our employees is of paramount concern. While the company is headquartered in Houston, Westlake Chemical has operations in 13 countries. Therefore, we have been monitoring developments related to COVID-19 since January. As a result, we have restricted all travel, including conferences, meetings and customer meetings. We are following the guidance of health authorities in the various jurisdictions in which we operate, such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and sharing their recommendations with our employees to support good hygiene and germ-spreading-prevention practices.
Currently, the effects of COVID-19 have not affected Royal operations in North America. With multiple production facilities located in the United States and Canada, Royal Building Products is well positioned to maintain continuity of supply to its customers. We are also in constant contact with our entire supply chain to ensure we can maintain delivery our products for your customers, and at this time, we foresee little to no impact on our production and ability to service you. We recognize the challenges of accomplishing what we set out to achieve together earlier this year. Through technology, we are able to maintain a seamless experience for you with our customer service team, our sales team and the many other employees dedicated to our business. We have implemented safe working procedures for our production staff to minimize any potential disruptions.
